The Trialware Professional Association (TPA) has released v3 of Trialware Submit, a freeware Windows program that aids software developers in submitting their freeware and trial software to software download sites.

There are many Internet sites that provide links to software. This software consits of either freeware or trial demos of software that are time-limited or feature-limited in some way. Most of these software sites allow authors to submit their software via e-mail or special submission links. Submitting software in this way is an excellent and very cost-effective marketing option for software authors. The problem is that this submission process is tedious and very time-consuming. The TPA has developed an improved freeware solution to this problem, Trialware Submit (TSubmit).

TSubmit contains over 62 software sites authors can submit to (TPA members have access to the full list of 340 sites). The site list navigator is used to navigate to the different sites and find information about them. Authors can quickly visit the software site's home, search, submit and update links by clicking the appropriate toolbar button. The site pages show up in TSubmit's included browser window. Fields on these pages are automatically filled in if the software "remembers" what information is supposed to be entered there. Fields that could not be automatically filled in can be saved for future auto-filling.

For version 3, several important new features have been added that will greatly benefit software authors. Most importantly TSubmit now has a much improved semi-automatic form-fill feature. Now information from all types of form items not just edit fields can be stored for future use. A new e-mail template feature allows for automatic e-mailing to those sites that still take e-mail submissions. The database engine has also been upgraded to use less memory.

TPA members wishing to contribute to improving TSubmit may download the Borland Delphi source code. TSubmit and it's source code is protected by the TPA Artistic License.

Trialware Submit runs on Windows 95, 98, ME, NT, 2000 and XP. Trialware Submit requires a 486, 8 MB RAM, 4 MB hard disk space and Internet Explorer.
