ibAcus 2.5.2

Saint John, NB – With two releases in less than two years, developers at
iCountability Corp. have answered the challenge to produce software that makes
back-end data collection easy , efficient, and safe. Now they have announced a
major mid-term update, of their inventory counting software that brings an even
easier-to-use product to the workplace. Strengthening the framework of
ibAcus 2.0 released earlier this year, ibAcus 2.5.2 enhances usability while
building new features and enabling people to do more with less perplexity.

Users will notice those expanded capabilities in the area of reporting,
particularly with respect to reports, where support now exists for attaching
generalized reporting templates to profiles and counts. If the available report
types don\'t suit your requirements, one can be custom-built by our development
team in short order. Reports can now be created from CServer without the need to
open iReporter, and they are compressed by default, a time-saver for those who
need to compress files that need to be sent through email or posted on an FTP
site.

An exciting innovation is the capability of ibAcus to gather multiple pieces of
data from a single barcode scan. With that scan, CServer can break up the cost
of the scanned item into multiple departments using linked departments. Need to
keep a separate track of deposits on beverage containers? Need to assess
individual costing to each of several components that comprise a single item?
ibAcus can do it.

Transaction logging on count resources will be particularly welcomed by
details-oriented staff who like to have a precise accounting of what has gone on
during and after the count process. Find that Joe has been making mistakes all
morning and want to remove his count from the record? The transaction log lets
you do it. Inadvertently remove Jack\'s count instead? The log allows you to add
it back in. Try to make an adjustment on a single item and find you\'ve deleted
the entire file instead? Log to the rescue! Want to know who accessed the count
and what he did? The transaction log is at your service, and it works on-the-fly.
Simply put, it is a real time-saver.

A real plus for end-users is the launch of “One Button Predictive Scanning”
mode, now available on all iCounter CE platforms. This will be especially
welcome in situations where there are many single quantities because it saves
repetitive keystrokes and reduces chances for user error. Another plus is the
ability to merge old and new codesets via a simple one-click operation, allowing
users to update and consolidate information without losing data that is still
relevant.
