Learn Unix with L-Nix!

CyberMatrix Corporation has released verision 1.1f of L-Nix, an interactive Unix tutorial.

L-Nix is ideal for anyone wishing to learn about the Unix operating system.

L-nix is an interactive Unix tutorial program which runs under MS DOS. (Windows users may run L-Nix from a DOS Shell.) This program teaches beginner to advanced concepts of the UNIX operating system.

The trial version of L-Nix contains 10 modules covering an introduction of Unix, file characteristics, KornShell customization, processes and linking, command substitutions, finding files, and more.

The Registered verson of L-nix provides nine additional modules, including Unix and Files, Directories, Introduction to the KornShell, Redirection and Pipes, Useful Tools, Communicating with Other Users and Kornshell Programming.

At any point in the L-nix tutorial, the user can log into a UNIX shell simulation and try out the UNIX commands as they are learned. At key points in the tutorial short optional tests quiz the user on the material learned.

L-Nix runs on Dos, Windows 3.1, 95 and NT.
